Cutest Little Flower crochet pattern...



Skill level: Easy

Supplies: 

  • Crochet thread - mercerized cotton #10, 
  • crochet hook US 7 (1.50 mm), 
  • yarn needle. 
You may choose any other thread (yarn) and hook, but the size of your flower will be different.

Yarn Ideas: Aunt Lidia’s cotton thread, Aunt Lidia’s Bamboo crochet thread, Royale Classic crochet thread, DMC Traditions cotton thread.

Gauge: 9 st & 9 rows equal 1x1” square is single crochet stitches.

Finished size: 2.75” in diameter

Approximate time to complete this project: 45 min- 1 hr.

Abbreviations and stitches used: Ch – chain, (chs – chains), Sl st - slip stitch, st – stitch, (sts - stitches), Sc - single crochet.

Please note: This pattern is written in standard American terms.

Flower Pattern:

Petals (make 6):
Ch 2
Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (2 sc.)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in ea sc. (4 sc.)


Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea sc. (4 sc.)
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (6 sc.)
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea sc. (6 sc.)

Row 6: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (8 sc.)
Row 7: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea sc. (8 sc.)
Row 8: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (10 sc.)
Row 9: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea sc. (10 sc.)
Row 10: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (12 sc.)
Row 11: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 11 sc, 3 sc in last sc. (14 sc.)

Do not turn. Sc across the side of the petal,

3 sc into the top corner of the petal,

sc across the other side of the petal. Sl st into the first sc of row 11.

Fasten off.
Leave a long tail on one of the petals for sewing the flower together.



Flower middle (make one):
Round 1: Start with 10 sc into magic loop. Join with sl st.
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in ea sc, join round with sl st.
Round 3: Ch 1, [sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] 5 times, join round with sl st.
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in ea sc, join with sl st. Fasten off.

Assembling the flower:
With a yarn needle start sewing the bottom of the petal that has a long tail.

Attach second petal by sewing through the bottom of it.

In the same manner join all six petals together.

Sew on the middle of the flower.

Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.
