TENSION:
9tr. & 4 rows of tr. Measures about 2" square (5cm X 5cm)
Start with Yoke (worked in one piece). Using 4.00 mm hook, make 55ch.
Foundation Row 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr in each ch to end. Turn. (52tr, plus 3ch).
1st Row - (Increase) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next 4tr, * rpt from
* to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (62tr, plus 3ch to turn).
2nd Row - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, 1tr in each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (62tr, plus 3ch to
turn).
3rd Row - (Increase) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next 3tr, * rpt from
* to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (77tr, plus 3ch to turn).
4th Row - as 2nd Row. (77tr, plus 3ch to turn).
5th Row - (Increase) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next 2tr, * rpt from

Commence with Skirt
1st Row - 3ch, * miss 1tr, 1 shell (see abbrev) into next tr, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, rpt from * to
* to last 3tr and turning ch, miss 1tr, 1 shell into next tr, miss 1tr, 1tr into 3rd ch. (34 shell
groups). Turn.
2nd Row - 3ch, * 1 V Stitch (see abbrev) into 1ch space of shell, 1tr into dc, * rpt from * to * to
last shell & turning ch, 1 V stitch into shell, 1tr into 3rd ch. Turn.
3rd Row - 3ch, * 1 shell into V stitch, 1dc into tr, * rpt from * to * to last V stitch & turning ch, 1
shell into V stitch, 1tr into 3rd ch. Turn.
4th Row - (Divide for armholes) 3ch, * 1 V stitch into 1ch space of shell, 1tr into dc, * rpt from *
to * (3 times more), 1 V stitch into 1ch space of next shell, 2tr 1ch into dc, miss 7 shell groups,
2tr into next dc, * 1 V stitch into 1ch space of shell, 1tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * (8 times

Rows 2 and 3 form the pattern, repeat these 2 rows until 8 shell rows in all have been worked
from yoke or work measures approx 10.5" from shoulder. Fasten off.


Sleeves X 2

1st Row - With WS facing, rejoin yarn to same dc with 2tr & 1ch at base of armhole, 3ch, 
* 1 V stitch into next shell group, 1tr into dc, * rpt from * to * (5 times more), 1 V stitch into shell, 1tr into same dc as 2tr at base of armhole. Turn. (7, V stitches).
2nd Row - 3ch. * 1 shell into V stitch, 1dc into tr, * rpt from * to * to last V stitch and turning ch, 1
shell into V stitch, 1tr into 3rd ch. Turn.
Repeat pattern rows in this way, 1 V stitch row then 1 shell row for 2 more times each or sleeve
seam measures approx 3". Turning at the end of every row.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, * miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, 1dc into 1ch space, 1dc into
next tr, miss 1tr, 1htr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last shell, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, 1dc into
ch space, 1dc into next tr, miss 1tr, 1dc into 3rd of 3ch. Turn. (29 stitches).
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into next dc, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 2dc * rpt
from * to * to end. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc and ch spaces to end. Turn. (29dc).
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn. Repeat the last row once more.
Next Row - (picot) 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into next dc, * 3ch, 1dc into the first of the 3ch,
miss 1dc, 1dc into next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off.
Making up and finishing - Sew up sleeve seams. Starting at lower edge RS
facing and 4.00mm hook, work 1 row dc evenly up front edge around neck edge and down 2nd
front edge, working 3dc into corners Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to neck edge. Turn.
Next Row - Work picot edge along to end. Fasten off.
With WS facing return to second side, repeat the last 2 rows working from neck edge down.
Fasten off. Tie off and sew in ends. Turn through to RS. Sew on 3 buttons at yoke, use holes in
the tr"s as buttonholes. Thread ribbon through every other 2tr around yolk. Thread ribbon
through ch spaces in cuffs. Decorate with rosebuds and bows.

BLOOMERS Using 4.00mm Hook make 92ch.
Foundation Row 1 - tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr in each ch to end. Turn. (89tr plus 3ch to turn).
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into 3rd of 3ch. Turn.
Repeat last row (7 times more), until 9 rows in all have been worked, including foundation row.
Divide for legs - 3ch, 1tr into next 44tr. Turn. Continue in pattern on these 45 st until another 9
rows of tr"s have been worked for right leg. Turn.
Next Row - 3ch, * miss 1tr, 1 shell into next tr, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr *
repeat from * to * to last 3tr and 3ch, miss 1tr, 1 shell into next tr, miss 1tr, 1tr into 3rd of 3ch.
Fasten off. (11, shell groups)
Left Leg - Return to remaining stitches at division and continue in the same way as right leg.
With Wrong side of work facing Work 90dc evenly along cast on edge at waist. Turn.
Next Row - Work 1 row of picot edge.
Making up and finishing
Fold in half and sew seam down 9 rows. Fold so that back seam is centred, starting from right
leg, sew up right leg and continue down left leg. Turn through to RS. Thread ribbon through
every 2tr at waist and ankles and tie with bows.

BOOTIES X 2

Using 5.00mm Hook make 25ch.
Foundation Row Change to 4.00mm hook, 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end.
(24 dc). Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 2dc. *
repeat from * to * last 2dc, 2ch miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc. and 2ch spaces to end. Turn. (24dc).
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off. Turn.
Rejoin yarn to 9th dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into each of next 7dc. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch. 1dc into each of next 8dc. Turn. Rpt last row 5 more times until 7 rows in all
have been worked. Fasten off.
With RS facing return and rejoin yarn to cast on edge, 3ch, miss 1ch, * 1 shell into next ch, miss
1ch, 1dc into next ch,* repeat from * to * to last 3ch. miss 1ch, 1 shell into next ch, 1tr into last
st. Fasten off. (6, shell groups).
Return to st where you casted off at ankle, rejoin yarn, work 1dc into next 8dc along ankle, 8dc
along instep, 8dc along toe, 8dc along other side of instep, 8dc along ankle. Turn. (40dc).
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Next row (decrease row) 1ch, 1dc into next dc, decrease 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 15dc, decrease 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 15dc, decrease 1dc over next
2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn. (36dc)
Next row (decrease row) 1ch, 1dc into next dc, decrease 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 13dc, decrease 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 13dc, decrease 1dc over next
2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Making up and finishing

With Wrong side facing sew open seam and fasten off all ends. Turn through to RS, decorate with rosebuds. Thread ribbon through ch spaces at ankle and tie in bows.

BONNET - Using 4.00mm hook, make 59ch.
Foundation Row 1 shell into 5ch from hook, miss 1ch, 1dc into next ch, * miss 1ch, 1 shell into
next ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into next ch, * repeat from * to * to last 4ch, miss 1ch 1 shell into next ch,
miss 1ch, 1tr into last ch. (14 shell groups). Turn.
1st Row - 3ch, * 1 V Stitch into 1ch space of shell, 1tr into dc, * repeat from * to * to last shell
and turning ch, 1 V stitch into shell, 1tr into 3rd ch. Turn.
2nd row - 3ch, * 1 shell into V Stitch, 1dc into tr, * repeat from * to * to last V stitch and turning
ch, 1 shell into V stitch, 1tr into 3rd ch. Turn.
Rows 1 and 2 make the pattern, rpt until a further 2 complete patterns have been worked.
Fasten off.
With RS facing rejoin yarn to turning ch at the beginning of the row just worked, 3ch. then
working in front of stitch only throughout the row, * 1 shell into ch of shell, 1dc into next dc, *
repeat from * to * to last shell and last tr, 1 shell into shell, 1tr into tr. Fasten off. Turn.
Miss 5 shells and rejoin yarn to the row below the row just worked, into next dc work 3ch, * 

1 Vst into next shell, 1tr into next dc, * repeat from * to * a further 3 times more. Turn.
Starting with 2nd pattern row continue in pattern as set until back panel fits along side edges.
Fasten off.
With WR side facing, work 57dc evenly along cast on edge. Turn.
Next Row - 3ch, * miss 1dc, 1 shell into next dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * repeat from * to * to last 4dc, miss 1dc, 1 shell into next dc, miss 1dc, 1tr into last dc. Fasten off.
Making up and finishing - Join back seams. Work 1 row of tr stitch evenly along neck edge of
bonnet, thread ribbon through last row. Tie with a bow.
Decorate with Rosebuds and Bows.
