Forgiveness...

Holding onto something that has passed is very destructive, not only to the people we have been hurt by but it also contributes to our own suffering and it can destroy relationships and cause a deep rooted pain that can almost seem impossible to fix. Just as Jesus loves and forgives us, we should love and forgive others. None of us are without sin and we all need to forgive and receive forgiveness so that healing can begin and the essence of God’s love can shine through.

Are you weary from the suffering you endure because there is lack of forgiveness in your life?

Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” ~Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

Are you struggling to forgive yourself?

But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. ~1 John 1:9 NLT

Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. ~Acts 3:19 NLT

Are you in need to talk about the pain you inflicted upon others and don’t know where to start?

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. ~James 5:16 NLT

Are you seeking to hurt someone because they have hurt you?

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD. Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. ~Romans 12:19-21 NLT
