The classic Art Deco period style meets knitting in this 1920s-inspired pattern. Using size 15 needle and 1 strand each of A and B held tog, CO 72 sts using decorative cast-on method shown below.
Change to size 10 circular needle.
Work in seed st for 4 rows.
Work in 3 x 3 ribbing for 4 rows.
PM and join into rnd. Cont working in 3 x 3 ribbing until hat measures 5".
Crown Shaping:
Work decs as follows, changing to dpns when necessary.
Rnd 1: *P1, P2tog, K3; rep from * to end of rnd—60 sts.
Rnd 2: *P2, K3; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 3: *P2tog, K3; rep from * to end of rnd—48 sts.
Rnd 4: *P1, K3; rep from * to end of rnd.

Place the folded edge of the tie in the opening at the bottom of the hat and sew through all 4 layers using 2 strands of Kid Merino held tog. This secures the tie and closes the seam.
