Bacon, Egg, and Toast Cups

A breakfast dish that gives you all the meat, eggs, and bread you need in one small cup.

Preparing breakfast for overnight guests is always tricky for me. There’s always the crowd pleasing pancakes and waffles, but of course that leaves me stuck in the kitchen.

And then there’s the issue of battling guilt laden, calorie heavy breakfasts with my natural tendencies towards lighter fare. These little gems, however, kind of swing both ways. Guests can take as many as they want to fill their appetite. If they want just one, however, they’re only obligated to half a piece of whole wheat bread, 1 egg, and half a piece of bacon. Not so bad.

And the cuteness factor was hard to beat! Next time I think I’ll add shredded cheese to the mix.

Hope, Faith, and Love

There are three lessons I would write, —
Three words — as with a burning pen,
In tracings of eternal light
Upon the hearts of men.
Have Hope. Though clouds environ now,
And gladness hides her face in scorn,
Put thou the shadow from thy brow, —
No night but hath its morn.
Have Faith. Where’er thy bark is driven, —
The calm’s disport, the tempest’s mirth, —
Know this: God rules the hosts of heaven,
The habitants of earth.
Have Love. Not love alone for one,
But men, as man, thy brothers call;
And scatter, like the circling sun,
Thy charities on all.
Thus grave these lessons on thy soul, —
Hope, Faith, and Love, — and thou shalt find
Strength when life’s surges rudest roll,
Light when thou else wert blind.

Bit for the day...

Bit for the day

You have done your bit for the day,
Now, you need to take a break,
Feel relaxed and calm as night is here,
Let all your worries disappear,
In the silence of this night,
Sleep tight as I wish you this night,
A very loving good night,
Good night from me to you,
As you wait to see the morning dew!

When I am old and grey

Armour of God

For the weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal,

BUT mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

Casting down arguments and every high thing,
That exalts itself against the knowledge of GOD,
bringing every thought into captivity to -
The obedience of Christ,
And being ready to punish all disobedience,
When your obedience is fulfilled.
II Corinthians 10:4-6 NKJV

For we do NOT wrestle against flesh and blood, BUT :-
AGAINST principalities,
AGAINST powers,
AGAINST the rulers of the darkness of this age,
AGAINST spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
THEREFORE TAKE UP the whole armor of GOD,
That you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
And having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:12-13 NKJV

Therefore SUBMIT to GOD.
Resist the devil, And he WILL flee from you.
James 4:7 NKJV

ALL the best with your Spiritual walk with -
GOD Almighty, through Jesus Christ, Inspired & empowered by the Holy Spirit !!!

Good Morning.....Rise and Shine!

Rise and Shine

The lovely cuckoo sings the most beautiful song,
Waking up for its voice is where I always belong.
My day does not begin without walking past the grass,
That smell so nice and feel so soft.
Mornings are the best part of the day,
When your mind and body are the freshest to play.

Friends Forever

Friends Forever

If you need to yell, but do not scream
If you need to cry, but do not cry
If misfortune stirs your breast,
Making you feel sorry at any time,
It is missing just a breath
The presence of a loyal friend’s shoulder,
Then you remember that any time
You can always count on me…
If the winter chill tight your breast,
Destroying and making you feel sad…
Do not forget that I’ll be here
And I will be happy to warm you,
Because our friendship is so precious
Uniting us in fraternal communion,
That you will live forever
In the very bottom of my heart…

"Give Me S'more" Cake Recipe:
· Prep: 50 min. Bake: 20 min. + cooling
· Yield: 12 Servings

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
Marshmallow Frosting:
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  1. Line two 9-in. round baking pans with waxed paper and grease the paper; set aside. In a large bowl, cream the shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine cracker crumbs and baking powder; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
  2. Transfer to prepared pans. Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
  3. In a large heavy saucepan, combine the egg whites, sugar and cream of tartar over low heat. With a hand mixer, beat on low speed for 1 minute. Continue beating on low over low heat until frosting reaches 160°, about 8-10 minutes. Pour into a large bowl; add vanilla. Beat on high until stiff peaks form, about 7 minutes.
  4. Place a cake layer on a serving plate; spread with 2/3 cup frosting and sprinkle with half of chips. Top with remaining cake layer. Frost top and sides of cake; sprinkle with remaining chips.

Skin Tags - 7 Fantastic Home Remedies how to Remowe them...

By Rebecca Walsh

Skin tags are a type of benign skin growth that look like a tiny flap of skin. These are harmless from a medical standpoint, but they can harm a person’s self-esteem so getting rid of them is a priority. There are medical treatments, but in many cases, insurance will not cover them. Thankfully, there are a number of home remedies that you can try to get rid of your skin tags. Just be mindful of the location of your skin tag and if it is near your eyes, it is best to have a professional remove it. If it is elsewhere on the body, there is no harm in using home remedies to get the job done.

1.  Oregano Oil
Oregano oil contains thymol, arvacrol and p-cymene – three types of phenolic terpenoids components – and these have powerful antibacterial properties. They also contain antimelanomic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative and antiseptic properties. This oil has the potential to quickly take care of skin tags and on average it takes about a month. Create a mixture of four to six drops of coconut oil and two to three drops of oregano oil and apply this directly to your skin tag three times a day. This should dry out the skin tag so that it falls off on its own. Make sure to always use a carrier oil to dilute the oregano oil or else you risk redness and irritation. This oil also must never be used near your eyes.

2. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil provides a painless way to remove skin tags from your body. This oil has anti-fungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties and it also works to dry out the skin tag so that it falls off on its own. Soak a clean cotton ball in water and then add three drops of tea tree oil to it. Thoroughly clean the skin tag and the surrounding area with soap and water and then completely dry the area. Use the cotton swab that has water and tea tree oil on it and gently massage the skin tag and the surrounding area three times a day. It is important to use the water because tea tree oil should always be diluted or else you are at risk for skin irritation.

3.  Dandelion Stem Juice
This juice can be used for a wide array of skin issues, including skin tags. Take a dandelion with the stem and extract the juice from the stem by squeezing it. A milky liquid comes out and you apply this liquid directly to the skin and then cover the area with a band-aid to keep it in place. Do this up to four times a day, making sure to thoroughly cleanse and dry the skin between applications. This works to dry out a skin tag so that it falls off. Do not use this remedy if you are allergic to daisies, marigolds, ragweed, chrysanthemums and other similar plants because there is a chance that if you are allergic to one of these you will also be allergic to dandelions.

4.  Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a powerful antiseptic and it also contains citric acid which helps to dry out skin tags by decomposing the cells. Take a half of a fresh lemon and apply the juice to a cotton ball. Apply this directly to the skin tag and leave it on without washing it off. You can apply this up to three times a day and continue the routine until the skin tag falls off.

5.  Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is able to destroy the skin tag tissue so that it goes away completely. Take two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and soak a cotton ball with this. Apply it to the skin tag after completely cleansing the skin and drying it. Make sure to squeeze the cotton ball while you massage the skin tag so that the skin tag is saturated with the vinegar. This can be done three times a day until the skin tag is gone. Keep in mind that apple cider vinegar is acidic and it can cause some mild itching and stinging for a few minutes when you do this treatment. To minimize these effects dilute the vinegar with some water before doing the treatment.

6.  Fig Stem Juice
Fig stem juice is widely used for skin issues because it helps to balance the alkaline-acid balance. To create this juice, grab some fresh fig stems and blend them to extract the juice. You can apply this juice to the skin tag up to four times a day. On average, you will notice results within four weeks.

7. Garlic
Fresh garlic has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties which help to improve skin health and dry out skin tags. You need four fresh garlic cloves and then ground these up into a paste and apply the paste directly to the skin. Place a bandage over this to keep the paste in place.

Good Morning!

Truth Will Always Win

I know it's hard to always do
What we know is right,
We look around at other folks
And how they live their lives

But just because they may do
What we know is wrong,
We must stay true to our God
And keep our spirits strong

Our eyes must always be fixed on
Our Lord and saviour Christ
Don't worry what the others do,
In His word, we must abide

They may laugh at our stand
For righteousness and truth,
Just know the one that matters most
Is smiling down on you

He alone is whom we please,
Not anyone else down here
For He alone is so worthy,
Nobody else compares

No matter what they say and do,
Stand your ground for Him
They may try to ridicule,
But truth will always win.

The Boat of My Heart

Take Your rest, sweet Lord; slumber peacefully; lay Your head down on the pillow of my heart.

In the boat of my love You find peace and gentle repose –

Even though the waves may crash and the tides surge,

Even though the storm and darkness of night surround,

Even though rain and hail and lightening abound,

Sleep deeply and take Your rest, sweet Lord; I will not awaken You nor stir You by fears and doubts.

No need to rise to calm the storm; faith awaits safe arrival at the distant shore.
