Ingredients:
- 6 to 8 glass bowls
- rich and easy fruit cake
- thick, thick custard
- handful of toasted almond slices
- zest of 1 orange or tangerine
- whiskey
You need custard: (Thick, thick custard)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 tsp cornflour
Heat the milk, vanilla and sugar in a saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of milk in a separate bowl. Beat in eggs. Whisk 2 tablespoons of slightly cooled milk eggs. Beat egg mixture into milk in a saucepan. Stir with wire whisk over medium heat until custard begins to thicken. Remove from heat and pour through sieve.
